Gouroux Foods. What’s in a name?
Gouroux (Pronounced Guru) is a combination
of Gourmet which discerns the quality and
expert blending of our ingredients, and Roux
which reflects our New Orleans Creole
cooking heritage. It’s said when you have a
great roux you’ve got a great dish. While our
cheesecakes don’t have any roux, they do
have that New Orleans flair for the best foods
in the world. The combination of these words
makes us the Guru of fine New Orleans
cheesecakes.
Our symbols are the single yellow rose and two forks.
The single yellow rose is a deeply personal symbol of
the founders and stands for love, hope and fulfilling a
promise.
The two forks? Well we have a trademark at Gouroux
Foods: “Cheesecake for Two”. We all know that
classic picture of the couple ordering one milk shake
with two straws. Well we are the only Cheesecake
baker that specialize in 4” Cheesecakes. These cakes
are perfect for the couple who order one cheesecake
with two forks. While one person could finish a cake
alone, how much more fun it is to share with a friend
or a loved one? But don’t think you can’t get other
sizes. We offer all our cakes in 8”, 9” and 10” sizes.
And while others may offer similar sizes, check the
weight. You’ll find ours aren’t filled with a lot of air.
These have plenty of good stuff but won’t make you
feel weighed down. So go ahead and enjoy.
